Vikram Vedha is an action/thriller movie directed by Pushkar-Gayathri and jointly produced by S. Shashikanth.It is the remake of tamil movie released in 2017. Saif Ali Khan played the role of Vikram, Radhika Apte aka Priya as Vikram’s wife. And Hritik Roshan plays the role of Vedha.
The movie is the perfect portrayal of moral conflicts where you will be in a dilemma of what’s right and what’s wrong.
Saif plays the role of an officer of Lucknow Police Special Task Force who has the task to find and kill the top gangster of Lucknow: Vedha . The whole plot is tightly-knitted and is basically based on ‘Betaal Pachisi’. A fiction written in the 11th century by Kashmiri poet Somdev Bhatt.
The title of the movie Vikram Vedha justifies both the characters equally. Vikram’s and Vedha’s part has been written with a fine detailing that works at so many levels. It’s impressive how these subtle details have been incorporated into the story and everything ties up neatly in the end. You will observe that not all characters are neither right nor wrong.
Vedha’s character is extremely powerful as Hrithik was true to his performance .It imbibes the vibe of the character really well. While on the other hand, Saif perfectly compliments his character as an honest cop. We could see an array of deep emotions in Vikram Vedha like the relationship between brothers , partners, criminal & cop. After a long time we could watch such an action film, but it has an ambiguous ending. So we can expect a sequel too? An entertaining movie to watch with caramel popcorns and a can of Diet Coke.
